MTC Mechanical was founded in April in 2006. With over 70 years of experience in HVAC systems, we specialize in commercial boilers, industrial HVAC, and control systems.
We are a family owned company focused on our customers and employees. We continue to strive to develop the next generation and grow within the industry. We believe if we put our customers and employees first our success will follow.

MEET THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
Taylor Nees
PRESIDENT
Taylor is part owner of the company and has been in the Electrical field his entire life. When he came back from school he joined us as an apprentice. From there he got his journeyman and acquired his Masters in 2018. Taylor moved into an estimating and project management role early in his career. He now oversees our estimation department, project managers, and control division. Taylor also started our apprenticeship program as he has a passion for teaching the trade to the next generation.
Taylor his wife Dani and baby Walker reside in Holstein Iowa. When Taylor is not working you can find him tending to his cows, hanging with his family, and working on anything.
Nathan Nees
CEO
Nate graduated from Central College in 2006 where he majored in Business Management. He grew up in the Electrical world working on many jobs around the area. He has been in management and customer service for the last 16 years. He lives by the motto “when we listen to our customers and employees great things will happen.” Nate most recently oversaw the US for Jim Pattison Lease where his team handled fleet management for many companies within the trades. Nate moved back to buy into the family business with Taylor. Together they are excited to build on what has already been started.
Nate, his wife Lindsay, and their two boys Beckham and Parker reside in the North Sioux City area. When Lindsay and Nate are not at their boys sporting events you can find them cheering on their beloved Cyclones and spending time in Okoboji.
Nathan Nees
CEO

Paul Arndt
CFO
Paul Arndt is a finance professional with a passion for business analysis, long-term investing, and helping companies grow. He graduated with honors from the Northern Illinois University School of Business with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and corporate evaluation.
For more than six years, Paul has actively evaluated companies for investment opportunities, combining a deep interest in business models, competitive advantages, and financial performance. He enjoys studying financial statements and understanding what drives successful businesses over the long term.
Professionally, Paul brings over a decade of experience in service and sales with the world’s largest total transportation company, where he has built a reputation for customer relationships, communication, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
Outside of work, Paul recently welcomed his first child and enjoys spending his free time outdoors. His hobbies include hiking—especially exploring national parks—caving, and bike riding.
